Bug Bounty & Community Roadmap

The numbers have to be right.

AlphaIQ is a financial tool. Incorrect outputs cause real harm. We hold ourselves to a high standard of accuracy — and we invite our community to hold us to it too. If you find something wrong, we want to know. And we will reward you for telling us.

Find a bug. Earn free Pro.

Three categories of qualifying bugs. Severity is assessed by AlphaIQ — your classification is an input, not final. The first verified reporter of each unique bug is the eligible claimant.

Functionality Bug
A feature does not behave as intended. The platform does something it should not, or fails to do something it should.
Examples: broker statement extracts wrong data, a form fails to save, a tool returns no output when it should.

Minor Logic Error
A calculation produces an incorrect result. The financial impact is limited in scope but the output is wrong.
Examples: a percentage is calculated off the wrong base, a rounding error creates a consistent discrepancy.

Material Financial Error
A core model produces a materially incorrect result that a user could reasonably rely on to make a financial decision.
Examples: incorrect CGT treatment, wrong super contribution cap, retirement projection off by a material amount.

Four steps from report to reward.

Submit your report

Use the notification bell inside the app. Include steps to reproduce, expected vs actual result, and a screenshot if possible.

We investigate

Our team triages the report and attempts to reproduce the issue. You can track progress from inside the app at any time.

Confirmed and categorised

If verified, AlphaIQ assesses the severity tier and approves the bounty. You receive an in-app notification and email.

Reward applied automatically

Pro access is applied directly to your account. No forms, no delays. Free plan users are activated automatically for the reward period.

What qualifies — and what does not.

A qualifying report must be reproducible, accurately described, and demonstrate a genuine error in AlphaIQ's behaviour or calculations. The following specific rules apply.

01
First reporter only. Only the first verified reporter of a unique bug qualifies. Subsequent reports of the same issue are acknowledged and the reporter notified of the outcome, but do not attract a separate reward.
02
AlphaIQ determines severity. The category you select when submitting is treated as an input — AlphaIQ's assessment is final. A report submitted as a Material Financial Error may be reclassified downward, or vice versa.
03
Partial fix rule. If a fix is deployed but does not fully resolve the original issue, the report status is set to Partially Resolved. The original report remains the canonical record. No additional bounty is payable for further reports on the same root cause.
04
Reproducibility required. Reports must include enough information to reproduce the issue: the steps taken, the inputs used, what was expected, and what actually occurred. A screenshot is strongly recommended.
05
Material errors trigger a user communication. When a Material Financial Error is confirmed, AlphaIQ will communicate the issue and an expected fix date to all affected users.

What does not qualify

The following are explicitly excluded from the program:

  • Cosmetic issues — alignment, colour, font rendering, visual layout preferences
  • Feedback about features you would like added or changed (use the Feature Request flow instead)
  • Issues caused by user-entered data that does not reflect real circumstances
  • Bugs already known and under active remediation
  • Reports without sufficient information to reproduce the issue

Who can participate.

All AlphaIQ users resident in Australia
Free plan and Pro plan users — all tiers eligible
No minimum account age or activity requirement
No limit on the number of qualifying reports per user

Rewards have no cash value and are non-transferable. This program is subject to AlphaIQ's Terms of Service and may be modified or discontinued with reasonable notice. Operated by J&A Marsh Investments Pty Ltd.

You decide what we build next.

AlphaIQ is shaped by the people who use it every day. Submit a feature request, and let the community vote on what matters most. The request with the highest cumulative votes at the time AlphaIQ selects a winner earns the submitter three months of free Pro access.

Feature Request Winner

Submit a feature request inside the app. Other users can upvote it. Votes accumulate — there is no reset period. The winner is selected at AlphaIQ's discretion and earns the original submitter three months free Pro. AlphaIQ is under no obligation to build any specific request, but the community board directly informs product decisions.

How to submit a report.

All bug reports and feature requests are submitted directly inside the AlphaIQ app. You can access the submission form from the notification bell in the top-right header, or from the Settings menu.

Once submitted, you can track the status of your report from the My Submissions view inside the app. Status updates trigger in-app notifications and email notifications at key transitions — confirmed, resolved, rejected, or when more information is needed.

AlphaIQ aims to acknowledge all submissions within 5 business days. Resolution timeframes depend on severity and complexity.

Ready to hold us accountable?

Open AlphaIQ, use the notification bell, and submit your report. If it qualifies, the reward is applied automatically.
